Boat race makes splash for charity

Colleagues from across Merseyside are taking part in a Dragon Boat Race to help raise cash for charity.

A total of 16 staff from the Merseyside Community Rehabilitation Company (M CRC) will be raising cash for the ADHD Foundation. The race is at the Liverpool Watersports Centre, Albert Dock.

ADHD is a neuro-developmental condition which makes – among other things – school-based learning difficult. Unsupported, it can result in social and educational exclusion.

Karen Rooney, M CRC Community Director, said: “We have entered this race primarily to raise awareness of ADHD. We work with a number of service users with the condition, and with service users who support family members who have ADHD.

“My son has the condition, and other staff members also support family members with ADHD. The ADHD Foundation offers invaluable support to children with ADHD, and their families.”
